A Dec. 26 robbery at the Rite-Aid store on North Glynn Street in Fayetteville occurred after a man presented a note to the pharmacy clerk demanding a certain type of drug.

The robbery occurred Dec. 26 at approximately 1 p.m. when a slightly heavy-set white male described as being 45-50 years of age and 5′ 7″ – 5′ 9″ in height and wearing black-rimmed glasses entered the store and proceeded to the pharmacy area, said Fayetteville Police spokesman Mike Whitlow. The man was wearing a black jacket, a black baseball cap and blue jeans, Whitlow added.

Whitlow said the man presented a note to the pharmacy clerk demanding Adderall. He was given a quantity of the drug and then left without incident, said Whitlow, adding that the man did not produce a weapon during the incident.

The man exited the store and left in a small, dark-colored, possibly black, pick-up truck, said Whitlow.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.
