0Mr. Joe Walter Cartwright, Jr., 72, of Fayetteville, passed away Nov. 26, 2012.
He served his country in the US Army Reserves and retired after 34 years of service. He was also a letter carrier with the US Postal Service and retired after 36 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Cartwright is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Robbie Bell Cartwright; son Jeff & Sharon Cartwright of Richmond Hill, Ga.; daughter Tina & Armando Luna of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren Mackenzie and Shayna Cartwright and Dante, Allie and Ariana Luna; brothers Steve Cartwright and Dickie & Tena Atkins; sisters Sandra & David Cook and Delores Hargett; sisters-in-law Toni & Mike Sams of Molena, Georgia and Donna & Ron Phillips of Brooks, Georgia and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Reverend Carolyn Clifton will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Cartwright to The American Cancer Society.
