Mary Ellis, age 74, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away November 7, 2012. Mrs. Ellis grew up in Lansing, MI where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Clarence (Bud) Ellis. A loving wife and mother of 3, Mrs. Ellis went on to become a Real Estate agent after moving to Georgia in 1986. Loved by all who knew her, she was once active in New Neighbors and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 50. She loved her gardening and book clubs and was especially fond of playing bridge and bunko. 

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Haynes, and sister Mary Elizabeth Haynes. She is survived by her husband, Clarence (Bud) Ellis, daughters Michele (Stan) Hall and Julie (Mike) Calhoun and son Barry (Kelli) Ellis. She is also survived by brothers’ Kenneth (Gaye) Hoxie and Vernon Haynes, as well as sisters’ Charlene Haynes and Tillie Margaret Frohock. She celebrated 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 11 am, with lunch to follow service, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269). Her cremains will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
