The Board of Directors of Fayette Youth Protection Homes met at the building soon to be their new location last week, toured the facility and thanked the Board of Directors of SMC3.

SMC3, a technology and service provider that supports U.S. shippers and carriers, has their Atlanta headquarters located in Peachtree City. They purchased a building at 150 Marquis Dr. in Fayetteville and will lease it out to Fayette Youth Protection Homes, which will move their offices and Gracie’s Closet early in 2013.

“Through the generosity of SMC3, we will be able to overcome our lack of space and serve more children in need than ever before,” said Fayette Youth Protection Homes Executive Director Becky Davenport. “This opportunity for us could not have come at a better time. We just can’t thank SMC3 enough for their willingness to partner with us to provide a safety net for children in need. ”

Fayette Youth Protection Homes is a non-profit organization which offers refuge and support for children who have been the victims of abuse, neglect, or other tragic circumstances. At the Friday-Johnson Home located in Brooks, Ga., school age children receive healing and shelter in a structured, homelike environment. FYPH also operates a private foster parenting program and Gracie’s Closet, a clothing resource center for foster children living on the south side of metro Atlanta.

Jack Middleton, President and Chief Executive Officer of SMC3, is also the Vice President of the Board for Fayette Youth Protection Homes.
