Mr. Albert “Al” Neal, a 45 year resident of Long Beach, Ind., passed away on September 2, 2012 at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Ga., due to complications resulting from Alzheimer’s disease.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 5, 2012 at Holy Trinity Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Burial will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
Mr. Neal was born on June 24, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Albert Griffith and Agnes (Mehegan) Neal. In 1960, in Chicago, Ill., he married Jean Krueger who survives him in Peachtree City. Also surviving are son Griff (Jane) Neal of Alameda, Calif.; daughter Leslie (Dr. Alfonso) Martinez of Peachtree City, grandchildren Conor and Liam Neal, Evan and Claire Martinez and step-brother Donald Kemmerling of Punta Gorda, Fla.
In 1962 Mr. Neal established A. D. Neal Ltd., a manufacturers’ representation firm, which he headed for 40 years. During that time he was a creative force in the television manufacturing industry and in the exterior design of Chicago’s landmark Marina City Towers. Mr. Neal held three industrial design patents. In the early 1960’s he was an instructor in the evening division of Northwestern University’s business school. He was a long time volunteer leader with Long Beach Boy Scout Troop 802, a member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association and a member of Queen of All Saints Church.
