Coweta County school Superintendent Steve Barker will be the featured speaker at the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce’s NuLink Early Bird Forum on Aug. 28.

Barker will discuss the “State of the Schools” in Coweta County, highlighting the successes the school system has enjoyed and identifying opportunities for improvement in the future. Barker’s address will also draw the relationship between the business and educational communities, according to chamber president Candace Boothby.

“It’s perfect timing,” said Boothby, referencing the timing of the event to the beginning of the school year. “Our community, and especially our business community, is dependent upon our school system to deliver world-class employees upon graduation.”

The Aug. 28 forum will be held at 7:30 a.m. at the Central Educational Center, located at 160 Martin Luther King Drive in Newnan.
