“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” At 2:30 a.m. August 12, 2012 Charles realized this, I’m certain that’s the first of MANY such wonderful happenings in Heaven for Eternity.
Mr. McBride was a native Atlantan, he grew up in Grove Park (west Atlanta); he went to Lena H. Cox Elementary and West Fulton High. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service and then served Fayette County in the Sherriff’s Dept.
Mr. McBride was preceded in death by his mother and father Addie & Henry J. McBride Sr.; brothers Harold R. McBride of Florida and Henry Jackson McBride, Jr. of Arizona.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years Lois McBride of Fayetteville; children Marie, Richard, Tony, and Gary McBride; sister Rita M. Morgan of Fayetteville, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Reverend Lynn McClain officiating.
The family received friends Monday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
