Donald Joseph Ulmer of Peachtree City, who was born in 1928 in New Orleans, La., went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2012.
Donald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley, daughters Karen Hunt (Joe), Jean Allen (Greg), Donna Fessenden (David), Denise Rousseau (Hank) and grandchildren Anna Fessenden, Alex Hunt, Kirsten Allen, Aimee Fessenden, Michael Fessenden and Sean Allen. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Colomb and Doris Gamble and many nieces and nephews.
He retired from The Glidden Company after 55 years of loyal service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. He was a veteran of the Army, graduate of Loyola University, master carpenter, life-long scholar, world traveler and outstanding joke teller. But, most importantly, he was a child of God.
Funeral Services were held on June 22 at First Baptist Church in Peachtree City officiated by Rev. Kenneth Brown. Burial at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.
