Coweta County EMS provider American Medical Response has awarded two first-time, full scholarships to its employees. One of those is Coweta County EMS employee Donald Musgrave, who will pursue a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix.

A Coweta County resident and AMR employee, Musgrave as a part of the application process wrote three essays on his educational goals, achievements and an essay of personal reflection. A selection committee reviewed more than 200 applications to select the two winners, Musgrave and an AMR employee in Colorado.

“We are so pleased for Donald.  He represents the kind of person we have in our workforce. He is focused on personal enrichment and we are proud to support him in that,” said Chris Cirillo, AMR Director of Operations.

Musgrave will work toward a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management. He has worked 25 years in the emergency medical field and for AMR in Coweta County for just over one year, according to Coweta County Public Affairs Director Patricia Palmer.

Palmer said this is the first year of the scholarship program. EMSC, the parent company of AMR, has partnered with the University of Phoenix to offer this scholarship.
EMSC has more than 26,000 employees in 42 states.
