Faith Lutheran’s summer soccer camp starts Monday

Faith Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg will start its summer soccer camp program next Monday, June 18, and will continue through Thursday, June 21. The program is for children rising to kindergarten through children children rising to sixth grade. The registration fee is $50.

“The camp is an opportunity to grow in both soccer skills, and faith in Jesus while sharing Christian fellowship, meeting new friends and having fun,” said Vicar Mark Reichert.

Experienced soccer players and coaches will teach a variety of soccer techniques to include dribbling, passing, shooting, heading and conditioning.

Faith building lessons will revolve around the theme, “God So Loved The World” and that Jesus came to save all people of all times and places. A barbecue on 24 June after church will conclude the camp.

Children will need to provide their own shin guards, sunscreen, soccer ball, soccer shoes and hats. Camp tee shirts, water bottles and daily snacks will be furnished by the church.
