Applebee’s omits 2 local high schools

While I was with my uncle, I noticed that Applebee’s in Fayetteville has very descriptive designs about different high schools in Fayette [County]. The design included Whitewater High, Starr’s Mill High, and Sandy Creek High schools.

An image for Whitewater is located at the far left of the restaurant, nearest wall to the entrance of Applebee’s. Starr’s Mill is at the far left at the back of the restaurant. Last, Sandy Creek High is at the far right at the back of the restaurant. (It is the first school you see when you walk in).

As I was looking at these paintings, I was wondering, “Where is my school, Fayette County High, and even McIntosh High?”

I said to myself, “They have all this time and space to create these beautiful designs. But, no time or room for other main and very important schools in this area.”

I believe very strongly that Applebee’s should have my school as well as McIntosh High on their wall. They are two of the main schools in Fayette County!

How could we (the people of Fayetteville) just ignore this, and not address this to Applebee’s? I believe it’s not fair for us to not have Fayette County High and McIntosh High represented.

When I walked into Applebee’s and saw those paintings, I thought, “This restaurant cannot be finished? How could it be? You did not respect Fayette County High or McIntosh High?”

When I saw this, I didn’t want to be disrespectful because it was clear that it took a lot of hard work to put together those wonderful designs of Whitewater High, Starr’s Mill High, and Sandy Creek High.

Another reason that I am so adamant is that my school is the most important school in Fayetteville! (It is named after the city). I mean my uncle, aunt and my mother went to Fayette County High. I remember my mom telling me stories about my basketball coach Andre Flynn back at the time that she went to Fayette County High.

I want Applebee’s to do this because I have played basketball my whole entire life and those paintings on those walls represent the high school team sports being played in Fayetteville. Fayette County High and even McIntosh High have to be apart of the design!

Last, but not least, Applebee’s has the room to create elaborate paintings of Fayette County High. So, they should create designs for these schools. I believe very strongly in this and I hope they do what you know should be done.
