Mr. Curtis Eugene Petty, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 20, 2012 at the age of 52.
Curtis was a generous family man with a big heart. He would routinely go “over and above” to help others in need. He loved all types of music and taught himself how to play the guitar. He was a long time member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and studying his Bible.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angie Petty; sons Greg Petty and his wife Lindsay of Fayetteville, Andy Petty and his fiancé Amanda of McDonough; daughters Hannah Morris and her husband James of Fairburn, Allison Petty of Fayetteville; grandchildren Joshua Petty, Cadence Petty, Tristan Petty, Landon Morris; sister Yvonne Pierce and her husband Gene of Fayetteville; brothers Glen Petty of Hampton and Scott Petty of Conley.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. Reverend Justin Kollmeyer will officiate.
The family will receive friends at a reception at the church following the service.
