Carolyn Kay Charping went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2012.
She was 71 years old, born in Anderson, S.C., and moved to Atlanta area in 1960.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Haskell and Bertha Kay.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles L. Charping of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughters Deborah C. Michell and husband Chuck of St. Petersburg, Fla., Sherry C. Taylor and husband Randy of McDonough, Ga.; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Charping has two sisters, Jackie K. Oakley and husband Kenneth and Helon K. Jefferson and husband Max both of Anderson, S.C. Also remaining is one brother in law, John Charping and wife Betty of Flagler Beach, Fla., and sister in law Barbara C. Hays and husband Buddy of Spartanburg, S.C.; seven nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wed., April 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Garden, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that donations be made to Hospice Advantage, 101 Yorktown Drive, Suite 223, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214 in lieu of flowers.
