Fayette County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested two people in connection with a burglary on Mann Road and two others in connection with an attempt to steal telephone lines on Old Ford Road.

Sheriff’s spokesman Brent Rowan said deputies with the assistance of the Peachtree City Police Dept. made two arrests on March 29 in connection with a burglary on Mann Road which occurred on March 23. Investigators have arrested Tywan Elaine Alexander, 32, of Decatur and Birdie Milsap, 53, of Stone Mountain charging them both with burglary, Rowan said.

Rowan said the case involved Alexander and Milsap unlawfully entering into a home on Mann Road with the intention of stealing items from inside. Both females are facing similar charges from the Peachtree City Police Dept. for crimes which were committed in their jurisdiction, said Rowan.

Rowan in commenting on another case said sheriff’s deputies on April 3 made two arrests in reference to an attempted theft case which occurred earlier that day on Old Ford Road in north Fayette County.

Fayette deputies arrested Jason Christopher Evans, 30, of Union City and James Mathew Sutton, 21, of Fayetteville charging them both with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, criminal attempt to commit theft, second-degree criminal damage to property and damaging public utilities, said Rowan.

Rowan said the case involved Evans and Sutton cutting and attempting to steal telephone lines from a utility pole on Old Ford Road. Evans and Sutton caused extensive damage to the telephone utilities during the commission of this crime, Rowan said.

Fayette deputies arrested Evans and Sutton near the incident location where they were found to be in possession of the cutting tools which were used during this incident. Fayette investigators are currently looking into similar crimes which have occurred over the past year, Rowan said.

Rowan said additional charges may be expected in this case.
