Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will again host its weekly series of Lenten lunches, featuring a light lunch and a brief message at noon each Thursday during Lent.
The cost is $2 and the first is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22, at noon at the church, 175 E. Lanier Ave. (Ga. Highway 54 W.) in downtown Fayetteville. The Rev. Mark Westmoreland, senior pastor, will be the speaker and the Faith Circle will provide the lunch.
An Ash Wednesday service will be held that evening at 6:30 p.m., offering the imposition of ashes.
The second Lenten lunch will be held Thursday, March 1 at noon.
