Atlanta police are investigating the disappearance of a Fayette County High School graduate who was last seen by friends Dec. 27.

Stacey Nicole English, 36, of Buckhead, was reported missing Dec. 31, police said. On top of the police investigation, her family and friends have mounted a campaign to distribute flyers in hopes of encountering anyone with information as to her whereabouts.

Four days before English was last seen, her white 2006 Volvo S60 was found, with its engine running, near a community center on Lakewood Way in southeast Atlanta that also contains a police mini-precinct. The vehicle was impounded by Atlanta police at the time, but that was before English was reported missing, officials said.

Police as of late Friday morning are saying there is no reason to believe that foul play was involved. But according to multiple media reports police are wanting to speak with a St. Louis man who stayed briefly with English at her Buckhead condo before she kicked him out.

Police are processing English’s vehicle for forensic evidence. They also are hopeful of finding someone who may have seen English immediately prior to her disappearance.

English is described as being 5’3” tall and about 135 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder length hair.

A $5,000 reward has been posted for information on English’s safe return, and anyone with such information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
