Peachtree City Police aren’t getting much cooperation in the Thanksgiving Eve case of a shooting in Wynnmeade subdivision, so they are casting a wider net for information.

A 36-year-old Hispanic male was wounded in his hand Wednesday night about 11 p.m. at 404 Abbey Road but was released after treatment at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, police said.

Cops are looking for “a light-skinned, possible white male in his 20s, who was wearing a gray hoodie” as the shooter, police said.

The wounded man told police he didn’t know who had shot him, even though police said, “The gunshot was at close range and the bullet went through the victim’s left hand.” Another witness gave police the description of the hooded shooter.

“Due to lack of information and limited cooperation, the department is asking that anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding this shooting contact us as soon as possible. Please call the Fayette County E911 Center at 770-461-4357 to report any information while the department’s offices are closed,” Peachtree City Police said.
