Hugh David Vaughan, 70, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away Nov. 14, 2011.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Atlanta on Jan. 11, 1941 to James D. Vaughan and Jessie Mae Gazeway Vaughan. He is preceded in death by his son Brian Vaughan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane Vaughan of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter Kathy Childrey of San Marcus, Texas; Jackie Kidd and husband Robby of Stockbridge, Ga., Roxana Simonton and her husband Travis of Loganville, Ga., and Terry Cargill and her husband Ethan of Quinton, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Helen Brown of Fayetteville, Ga., Jim Vaughan of Cumming, Ga., James Vaughan of McDonough, Ga., Stevie Vaughan of Shelby, N.C., Delores Marquez of Forest Park, Ga., along with several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Lisbon Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with remains to lie in state from 2 to 3 p.m. with Reverend John Edge officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, GA.
