SCHS cross country coach to discuss book at PTC library

The Friends of the Peachtree City Library are pleased to present Douglas C. Pearson, teacher, coach and author of “The 10-20-30 Life Wellness Plan: A Manageable Plan to Instill Healthy Living into Your Life”.  He will be appearing Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m. in the Peachtree City Library.  

His book shows how when You provide the ingredients, “The 10-20-30- Life Wellness Plan” provides the recipe. The Result is a complete, practical, single source, wellness book that gives you the information you need to live a healthy life and inspires you to make that life a quality one.

Douglas C. Pearson is a retired colonel, United States Air Force.  He has a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University, Masters degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma, with a major in Guidance and Counseling and a Masters degree in Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin.  He has taught nine years in high school, including fitness and wellness in the school’s Air Force Junior ROTC program at Sandy Creek High School. For the past six years he has been the school’s head boys and girls cross country coach, with success in taking teams to state level competition.  He continues to teach, learn and enjoy many aspects of fitness and sports. He has numerous 5k and 10k age group placings and completed two Olympic distance triathlons and a half marathon over the past three years

In addition to his book, Pearson has published other science and education articles.

The public is invited to meet Col. Pearson Nov.12 at 1 p.m. at the Peachtree City Library where he will be discussing his book.  Refreshments will be served.
