The American Cancer Society will host its 9th annual Cattle Baron’s Ball on Saturday, November 5. The evening’s festivities will begin at 7 p.m. at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, Georgia. The headlining band will be Corbette Jackson. Corbette follows in the footsteps of fellow Georgians Zac Brown and Luke Bryan earning a fervent fan base. He is a triple threat: an accomplished singer, a prolific songwriter and a barn-burning entertainer.
In the spring of 2011, Jackson exploded onto the Georgia Music scene with the inspiring “Heart of a Champion”’ a song written for firefighter Chris Landreau from Coweta County, who bravely fought stage 4 cancer. Corbette is currently working on his debut album in Nashville, Tenn. at EMI Studios on Music Row.
The Cattle Barons’ Ball features western-style fun, food and entertainment while raising money to fight cancer. The popular silent auction, piggy bank auction and games will be back. For information on tickets email baronsball2011@aol.com.
