The Peachtree City Rotary Club has rescheduled its “Meet the Candidates” forum for Monday, Oct. 24 from 7-9 p.m.

The event is being moved to The Gathering Place senior citizen center as well, organizers said. Previous forums have been hosted at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center.

The candidate forum, a place for the community to ask questions of those running for city council, has been a long-standing tradition of the Rotary Club.

The forum will feature Post 1 candidates Stephen Allen and incumbent Eric Imker. George Dienhart, who is running unopposed for the Post 2 seat, has opted not to participate “in order to give more time for the others,” according to Rotary officials.

There will be prepared questions, and the audience will also be invited to submit questions. A moderator and panel will be used to help structure the event.

The club has had difficulty setting a date for the forum because of a number of scheduling issues with the candidates.
