Police are asking the public’s help in stopping a rash of burglaries at apartment and condominium complexes in north Peachtree City.

The incidents have occurred at the Camden Apartments, both Retreat apartments (on Barberry Lane and Hyacinth Lane) and also at Georgian Park Condominiums.

Residents are urged to call 911 immediately if they see “anything out of the ordinary in the area” including:
• Anyone walking through the buildings that you have never seen there before;
• Someone carrying electronic items from the buildings to a vehicle;
• A vehicle driving around the complex several times; or
• Someone walking through parking lots and looking in vehicles.

“Please remember that the faster we are notified, the faster we can respond and end these burglaries,” said police Capt. Rosanna Dove. “Always call 911 before you call anyone else.”

The burglaries involve forced entry through the front doors, as thieves target electronics, jewelry and weapons, police said.

Residents should use deadbolts whenever possible to reinforce their front doors, police said.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for these crimes, police said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police at 770-631-2510 or the department’s crime and narcotics information hotline at 770-487-6010. Callers may remain anonymous.
