Fayetteville Police reported Sept. 2 that a Fayette County High School student was arrested on Aug. 26 on charges related to the forcible body piercing of a 13 year-old girl during the school’s lunch period. The girl had solicited the piercing earlier in the day but changed her mind as the incident was occurring and was being held down by two other juveniles when a school administrator intervened.

Det. Mike Whitlow said 17 year-old Christian Tucker, of Fayetteville, was charge with battery, disruption of a public school and piercing the body of a person under the age of 18.

The report stated that on Aug. 26 a Fayette County High School administrator was notified by students of a 17 year-old student piercing the body of a 13 year-old student during lunch.

Whitlow said the school administrator arrived at the scene and observed the 13 year-old student being held down by two other juvenile students while Tucker was piercing the skin of the navel area of the 13 year old.

The administrator notified the School Resource Officer who took Tucker into custody, Whitlow said, adding that the two juveniles holding the girl down were charged by detectives later in the week.

Further investigation revealed that an earlier piercing was done that morning by Tucker on an 18 year-old student in the bathroom which was observed by the 13 year-old, said Whitlow.

Whitlow said the investigation also determined that the 13 year-old student solicited the piercing of her navel at lunch but then changed her mind when the action was occurring, asking Tucker to stop. Tucker did not stop and was still in the act when the administrator arrived, Whitlow said.
