A Peachtree City man was arrested Aug. 5 on charges of child molestation and sexual battery. The man is being held without bond and is potentially subject to deportation.

Alexander DeLeon-Escobar, 22, was arrested Aug. 5 at the conclusion of an investigation into allegations of child molestation, according to Peachtree City police spokeswoman Rosanna Dove.

“The investigation revealed that during the past two years, DeLeon-Escobar was residing with a family in Peachtree City and committed the offenses of child molestation and sexual battery,” Dove said.

DeLeon-Escobar was arrested at the Concord Apartments and charged with three counts of child molestation and one count of sexual battery, Dove said.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division (ICE) was notified of these charges, and as a result, DeLeon-Escobar is being held without bond awaiting deportation procedures, said Dove.
