Whitewater plans Spring Fling Saturday

‘100 Women in Red’ service set for May 29

FCCF will host 5th Sunday celebration
The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will host its regular Fifth Sunday Celebration on May 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Brian A. Hart, pastor of St. John A.M.E. Church in Fairburn. The FCCF exists to promote unity among churches in the southern suburbs of Atlanta. The current FCCF President is the Rev. Melvin Ware of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Flat Rock is at 148 Old Chapel Lane, Fayetteville. The senior pastor is the Rev. Ed Johnson.
Word of God Lutheran changes worship time
Members of Word of God Lutheran Church will change their time of Sunday worship to 9:30 a.m. beginning Sunday, May 29. Regular sunday School classes will not meet during the summer. Members meet at 303 Kelly Dr., Suite 10, Peachtree City.
Fayette Family Church plans picnic
Fayette Family Church will have a Memorial Day Picnic, Sunday, May 29 at noon, immediately following the 10:45 a.m. worship service. The Summit will host yard sale June 4
The Summit Church on Ga. Highway 92 South will hold a “Youth Trip Yard Sale” Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the church’s youth mission trip this summer. S.A.G.E. heads for Stone Mountain
The S.A.G.E. group (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) at Fayetteville First UMC will travel to Stone Mountain for an outing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 22. The cost is $25 plus “lunch on your own” at one of the Stone Mountain Park restaurants. Reservations and payment are due no later than June 15 at noon in the church office. The trip is dependent on a minimum of 15 persons participating. The church is across from the Fayette County Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.

Project Linus schedules meetings
The Fayette County “Project Linus” group will meet at Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 349 Kenwood Rd., Fayetteville, on the third Wednesday of each month from noon until 3 p.m., and on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.
