What do you do for a senior loved one just beginning to need a little extra help, but determined to stay independent and continue living in their own home? This can be a difficult dilemma for their family, especially for those living farther away or shouldering an already-heavy schedule of family or work-related obligations. Fortunately, ACTi-KARE Responsive In-Home Care exists to fulfill exactly this niche, providing professional and highly individualized non-medical services to help seniors maintain their independence and dignity while still receiving any and all assistance they may require.

“One of the strengths of our business is the wide range of services offered,” say owners Paul & Heidi Williams. “Every senior we deal with has their own individual needs and activity levels.” Highly trained and compassionate ACTi-KARE caregivers can provide companionship, transportation, mobility assistance, help with errands, bill-paying, shopping, nutritional aid, performing light housekeeping duties and personal care assistance. We also offer assistance to busy mothers and anyone who is home convalescing from surgery or illness. The caregivers are highly trained in providing care for those with dementia. And since the services are tailored to each client and their unique needs, they can request as much (or little) assistance as they would like.

“We are excited about the benefits our business brings to the community. We work with adults of all abilities, and we get to do it while staying in our own community,” says Paul. “We will always be committed, not necessarily to being the largest service provider in the area, but to being the best provider for our senior clients. Our flexible programs allow us to design a care plan that will fit the needs of each individual,” says Paul. “One size does not fit all in this industry.”

ACTi-KARE is ideal for matching the changing and evolving needs of seniors and their families.

Paul and Heidi Williams have lived in Fayetteville for 23 years and in Georgia for well over 30 years where they raised their two sons. One works in the health care field while the other is in law enforcement. Following their own early retirements from other professions, they realized that they wanted to give back to their community and specifically work in the area of helping seniors. Having taught adult seniors in Sunday school for many years, however, Paul realized his real love was working with seniors.

While one size certainly does not fit all for ACTi-KARE’s clients, for the Williams, the senior service industry appears to be a natural fit. “At the end of the day, I feel like I have done something good for someone else,” Paul concludes. “Helping seniors to stay independent and in their own homes is a very satisfying occupation”.

Although the office is based in Fayetteville, they service Coweta County and the surrounding communities as well. For more information about ACTi-KARE caregiver services, please visit www.actikare.com., or contact Paul or Heidi Williams directly at our Fayetteville location, 770-461-7881.
