Barbara Mucklow, of Crete, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 21st in Peachtree City while visiting her family for the winter.
She is survived by one sister, Pat Beitelshees of Elkhart, IN. Barbara is also survived by daughters Nancy (James) Knauff of Peachtree City, GA and Patricia Mucklow (Patrick Slivka) of Homewood, IL and one son, Robert (Priscilla) of Peachtree City, GA.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren:James (Aimee) Stevens, Michelle (Alex) McGee , Molly Slivka, Andrew Slivka, Rachel
(Rutledge) Wood, Meghan (Kyle) Pietrantonio and Katelyn (Adam) Young. Great-grandchildren include Elsie and Millie Kate Wood and Charles Wyatt Stevens.
Barbara was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Michael Mucklow. In addition to raising five children, Barbara earned a
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Governors State University in University Park, IL, where she served as Head of Acquisitions
in the library until her retirement in 1992.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Peachtree City Library or the Peachtree City Animal Shelter.
The family wishes to thank Maria Yurkic and Senior Helpers from Peachtree City for the support, love and care they extended to Barbara the last few months of her life.
A memorial visitation will be held at Mowell & Son Funeral Home on Robinson Road in Peachtree City , Wednesday, May 25th
from 6 until 8 PM.
