0Ms. Betty Joe Howell, 86, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 12, 2011.
Ms. Howell was born on June 7, 1924 in Sycamore, GA, to the late Giles and Bessie Webb. During WWII, she served with the American Red Cross at Cochran Field in Macon, GA. She then married Buddy Howell of Fayetteville, GA. She was associated with the Cary Chapman Company and Dixie Bearings of Atlanta. She was a 60-year resident of Fayette County.
She is survived by her son Webb Howell and his wife Sherry of Ridgeland, MS; sister Vivian Patstone of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews; best-friend Katie Snyder of Fayetteville.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Reverend Gary Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
