Johnny N. Head, 73, of Peachtree City, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 25, 1938. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served four years as an electrical engineer. Upon leaving the Air Force, he went into the pre-stressed concrete business where he remained until retirement.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sisters Helen Jacobs of Middleburg, FL, Marie Waters and Yvonne Waters of Jacksonville, FL; son Scott and his wife Irina of San Antonio, TX; daughters Lisa Echols and her husband Rusty of Monroe, GA, Paula Head of Marietta, GA, Lori Kearns and her husband Stephen of Villa Rica, GA; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
