The McDonough Road Baptist Church Celebration Choir and Orchestra will present the musical/drama “The Prodigal” Sunday, April 17 at 10:55 a.m. and 6 p.m. Under the direction of minister of music and worship Mark Karki, “The Prodigal” is a story of redemption and restoration.
“It’s the story of a girl named Jessie who so far has lived a life of regret and broken promises. She is at a very low point when she encounters a woman named Doris who gently guides her back to a life of promise and hope,” said Karki. “Many people can relate to this woman’s experience.”
“Beautiful music and inspiring drama will help present the truth that God loves you and longs for your return,” Karki added. “This experience of worship will encourage you greatly.”
“The Prodigal” is open to the public and child care is provided.
The church is at 352 McDonough Rd., just past the department of drivers’ services building. Visit them on the web at www.mcdonoughroad.org.
Dr. David L. Chancey serves as pastor.
