Mrs. Ellen LaRue Schaufelberger, 81, of Jonesboro, passed away on March 28, 2011.
Mrs. Schaufelberger, known as “Gram Gram” by her grandkids, always saw the best in everyone, never spoke a cruel word, was loving, supportive, understanding and constantly wore a smile on her face. She was a long-time member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her life revolved around her relationship with Christ and she always put others first.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Schaufelberger and her son Eric Dennis Schaufelberger. She is survived by her daughter Connie Bell of Douglasville; grandson Paul and Vanessa Bell of Villa Rica; granddaughter Rachel and Anthony O’Bannon of Dallas; great-grandchildren Tyler and Callie O’Bannon; brother Paul and Pat Vercio of WA; sister Lorene Purvis of WA.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March, 30 2011 at 2:00 PM at Fayette Seventh Day Adventist Church, 814 New Hope Road, Fayetteville. Elder Leroy Abraham will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, NE.
