Ash Wednesday service set at PTC Pres.
First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will host an Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, March 9 at 6:30 pm. All are invited to worship as Christians enter the Lenten season. Traditionally, Lent is a time of fasting and prayer in preparation of the Easter season. First Presbyterian Church is at 206 Willowbend Rd. For more information, call 770-487-7757.

Lenten services start at St. Paul Lutheran
St. Paul Lutheran Church will have Lent Mid Week Services on Wednesdays beginning March 9 through April 13 in the lower level Worship Center. The first service will begin at 5 p.m., a light dinner will be served in the upper level cafeteria at 6 p.m. with the second service at 7 p.m., again in the Worship Center. The church also will have Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services. Times will be announced later. The church is at 700 Ardenlee Parkway, Peachtree City. For more info, call 770-487-0339.

COS will host Ash Wednesday services
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will have Ash Wednesday services at 12:15 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9. A soup supper is provided before the evening service. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

PTCUMC plans Ash Wednesday service
The Ash Wednesday Service, which opens the season of Lent, will be held March 9 at 7 p.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. All are welcome. The church is at 225 Robinson Road, Peachtree City. For more information, call 770-487-6499.

Wisdom of Life classes start March 10
Wisdom of Life classes taught by Vera Pedersen will begin Thursday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Starbuck’s Meeting Room on Ga. Highway 54 in the Publix Shopping Center in Peachtree City. Call 678-364-0949 for more information.

PTCUMC will offer Lenten study
A six-week Lenten study, “Show Me the Way,” will begin Sunday, March 13, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. The cost is $14. The study is being offered in conjunction with Henri Nouwen’s book, Show Me the Way: Daily Lenten Readings. Participants will be guided through a time of reading, reflection, and discussion. Time change at Fayette Family Church
Fayette Family Church located at 1729 Highway 54 West will forego “springing” clocks forward for Daylight Savings Time until after services in order to give everyone an extra hour of sleep.
