Electricity in a box

At Crabapple Lane Elementary School fifth grade students participated in a hands on Science lesson by creating their own working electrical boxes. As a part of the unit on electricity students designed, created, and then wired shoebox rooms with working lights and home-made switches. This fun project helped reinforce Georgia state standards on electrical circuits in a real-life situation. Pictured here are students Haley Mason and Quinn Maston. These two students recreated a bedroom scene with working lights. At the conclusion of the unit each student displayed their boxes for other students and parents to view. During this time each student explained how they made the lights work in their box and answered questions. Photo/Special.
