Penelope Wanelle Welch, 70, of Fayetteville, Ga., died February 10, 2011.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Jonesboro. Rev. Larry Hammock will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service.
Born April 2, 1940, in Alabama, she lived in Alaska from the late 1990s until 2009. She had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Alaska Department of Corrections.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Harvey and Lathan Welch.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Terry Glaze of Fayetteville, Michelle and Tyler Smith of McDonough, Ga.; son, Derek and Katherine Copeland of North Pole; grandchildren, Megan and Alysa Glaze of Fayetteville, Drew Smith of McDonough, Jordan Copeland of North Pole; sister, Brenda Welch of Lanett, Ala.; brother, Phillip Welch of Valley, Ala.
