Mr. Leonard Woodrow Shaw, 92, passed away on Feb. 4, 2011.
After 30 years of service, Mr. Shaw retired as the manager of the retail department at Isaly’s Dairy in Youngstown. He later retired from McArthur’s Dairy in Miami.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Emerson Shaw and Bertha Marie Dietzel Shaw and his sister, Dorothy Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Della L. Shaw; son, Leonard Shaw Jr. of Westminster, S.C.; daughter, Diana Lynn Balas and her husband, Robert of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark Westmoreland officiating.
