The Fayetteville Police Department arrested two suspects connected to a Sept. 17, 2010 armed robbery of a man and his wife in the parking lot of the Fayetteville Walmart in the Pavilion shopping center, according to Detective Mike Whitlow Friday afternoon.

Antonio Jamal Blakely, 25, of Riverdale and William Anthony Manuel, 20, of Fairburn are in the Fayette County jail charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Whitlow said.

Police are still searching for Brandon Thomas Mann, 18, of Fairburn, who is wanted on aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony charges, Whitlow said.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours as a man and his wife left the store and began walking to their parker car. A man with a pistol approached, pointing a gun at the husband’s torso, Whitlow said.

The robber demanded the man’s wallet and the wife’s purse. The man refused and two shots were fired as the husband and wife ran from the area. The suspects fled the Walmart in a red Chevrolet Tahoe.

Investigation by the Fayetteville Police Criminal Investigations Division led them to Blakely’s residence in Riverdale, where Fayetteville detectives and Clayton County Police served a search warrant Feb. 3 and located the Tahoe hidden in the garage. Detectives also uncovered additional evidence which led them to Manuel and Mann, police said.

Fayetteville Police are asking for information regarding Mann’s whereabouts. Mann is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about Mann is encouraged to contact Detective Scott Israel at 770-719-4223 or Detective Mike Whitlow at 770-719-4222.
