Mrs. Vera Lucile Tanner, 93, of Fayetteville, went to be with Jesus on January 24, 2011.

Mrs. Tanner was born in Lakeland, FL to the Late Mr. Jefferson Robert Marshall and Mrs. Beulah Mae Rush Marshall. She resided in central Florida until moving to Georgia in 1982.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lester Tanner.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan Branton of Fayetteville, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Bea) Martin of Ormond Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at North Fayette Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
