Mr. Brian Gerard Schornack, of Brooks, GA, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2011 at the age of 26.
Brian was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy actively for 5 years and the inactive Naval Reserves for 3 years. He was most recently employed as a laboratory technician at Southern Regional Medical Center where he had worked for three years. Brian was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend to many, who loved spending time with his girlfriend, Paula and his brother, Steven. He had a knack for computers and electronics but his true love was riding his motorcycle and dirt bike.
Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Prentice Lowry.
He is survived by his parents, Gerard and Theresa Schornack, of New Bern, NC; his brother Steven Anthony Schornack, of Brooks; girlfriend Paula Brown, of Brooks; grandparents Harold and Georgia Schornack, of Detroit MI, Mary Lowry of Pembroke, NC; great-grandmother Angeline Rem of Clinton Township, MI; Godfather Jeff Schornack of New Mexico; Godmother Sue Johnson, of Islamorada, FL; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel, with Father Michael McWhorter officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville , with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 PM.
