Henrietta “Henri” Dettmering Jerol of Cumming, GA died November 23, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born January 2, 1943 in Fayetteville, GA; attended Fayette County High School and Brenau Academy in Gainesville, GA. She received her nursing degree from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 and except for a short time in medical sales she spent her entire career at Piedmont where she was part of the nursing team that opened the first Cardiac Care unit in Atlanta.
She is survived by her husband Charles Jerol; brother and sister-in-law Neal and Jerri Dettmering; stepson Chase Jerol; granddaughters Savannah and Kristina; nephews Trey and David Dettmering and great nieces Isabelle and Olivia Dettmering.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville, GA. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Neal & Helen Dettmering Family Scholarship Fund or Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA.
