Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will mark Thanksgiving Eve with a chili supper and worship. The supper, an annual tradition, begins at 6 p.m. on Nov. 24. A variety of chilis and desserts will be offered.
Worship will begin at 7 p.m.; the guest preacher will be the Rev. Fred Wiese, father of COS senior pastor Fritz Wiese.
Advent begins on Nov. 28 with an intergenerational celebration at 9:45 a.m. Besides learning and craft opportunities, participants will be introduced to the new Christmas Putz. From a Moravian Church tradition, the Putz (meaning “decoration”) is an elaborate nativity scene, using figures from Germany loaned for the season by Rita DeNell.
Christ Our Shepherd is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.
