Mrs. Vera F. Houston, of Jonesboro, and a long-time Fayette County resident, passed away on November 13, 2010 at the age of 84.

Mrs. Houston was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed all types of sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mr. James Houston of Jonesboro; sons, Raymond Fuqua and his wife Shirley of Marietta, Lamar Fuqua and his wife Diane of Fayetteville; daughter Judy Policka of Jonesboro ; seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Interment will follow in Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
