Senior Helpers in Peachtree City was launched in 2006 by franchisee Linda Pirog. Senior Helpers is one of the fastest-growing professional caregiver services that assists senior citizens living at home.  The Peachtree City office services clients from Fayette and Coweta County to Douglas and Cobb County.  There are almost 300 offices of Senior Helpers in the country in over 30 states.

Prior to becoming a Senior Helpers franchisee, Linda spent over 20 years with Toys “R” Us in the International division, corporate office and regional field management. She found Senior Helpers after struggling to find an in-home solution for her mother-in-law who had been diagnosed with dementia.

“It was a terrible thing to go through because all she wanted was to stay in her own home but it was becoming too difficult for her alone. All the family members worked or did not live in the area.  We had very limited success with private caregivers-not being dependable or trained properly.  And the best solution we could find at the time was to move her into an assisted living facility.  Although we felt it was the right decision, my mother in law was never truly happy out of her familiar surroundings,” Pirog said. “I began looking for a business opportunity where I could make a difference in the lives of seniors. When I found Senior Helpers I knew from first-hand experience that this was a business that had a market that was ready and willing to be served.”

Senior Helpers was created to meet the needs of aging Baby Boomers and their parents or family members who are not ready to move to a retirement or nursing facility. Older adults who are capable of living on their own and just need someone to help out in their everyday lives.  We provide professional caregivers who do everything from meal preparation, running errands, helping with laundry, bathing and grooming and much more. Senior Helpers is not only a service for our clients, but also for the adult children, spouses and other relatives that find it difficult to provide daily care for loved ones themselves.

“We provide both long term and short term respite care with no contract obligation,” said Pirog “If you need a help for a couple days, weeks, months or years, we can help.” Service schedules are flexible and we are non-contractual, so you don’t have to commit to a fixed length of time. After a thorough screening, Senior Helpers trains, bonds, insures, and hires only the most professional and compassionate caregivers.

There are over seven million people in this country that are informal caregivers to family members.

“As much as family members want to support their aging parents, they may not be able to get away from work or other obligations to provide the degree of care necessary. We want to help with this responsibility and provide a portion of care when needed,” Pirog said.
