Edwin Wilburn Pankey, Jr., 91, of Fayetteville passed away October 18, 2010.
Mr. Pankey served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army where he fought at Normandy and in the German campaigns where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of VFW Post 9949.
Mr. Pankey was survived by many who loved him including Carolyn Solly & family of Fayetteville; Diane McCausland of Jenkinsburg, GA; Porter Horgan, III of Hammond, LA.; Jon Reed of New Orleans, LA ; Kay Hardee of Houston, TX; Elizabeth & Larry Davies of Trussville, AL.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Rev. Darwin Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
