Ray and Evelyn Stanley of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26, 2010.
After meeting on a blind date, they were married in Bay Minette, Ala in 1960. Their children, Renee and Stacey Bright (Jay, Parker, and Julianna) of Fayetteville, Gerri and Andy Davis (Stephanie and Alex) of McDonough, and Jeff Stanley and Bobby Delvaux of Atlanta, hosted a celebration weekend in Blue Ridge.
Ray is retired from Mark C. Pope and Associates and Evelyn as a registered nurse. Since their retirement they have enjoyed traveling, gardening, and participating in their grandchildren’s activities.
They are very involved in their church, Whitewater Church, and renewed their wedding vows on Aug. 29 with Pastor David Hornbuckle officiating.
