Richard Harold McNair, 73, formerly of Fayetteville, died October 15, 2010.

He retired from the Georgia Army National Guard. Mr. McNair worked 13 years for Boise Cascade and then was a 17-year employee of Fayette County Board of Education as a maintenance supervisor.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeanette McNair; son James R. McNair of Shalimar , FL ; and brother Howard Pierce McNair and wife Anne of Florence, SC.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Lisbon Baptist Church, Fayetteville with Dr. Randall Harris and Rev. Carlton Swicegood officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville .
