Richard Montgomery Cox, Jr., 94, of Fayetteville, GA, formerly of Albany, NY, died September 17, 2010.
Mr. Cox served his country as a sergeant in the U. S. Army. He earned his masters degree and was human resources manager for NL Industries, a chemical manufacturing company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard M. Cox, Sr. & Clara M. Krebs Cox and daughter-in-law Rosemary Cox.
Survivors include his wife Edna Cox of Fayetteville, GA; sons Richard Cox, III & his wife Mary Ann of Tyrone, GA, Stephen Cox of Samford, CT, Frederick Cox of Lino Lakes, MN & John Cox & his wife Mary of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren & 4 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Peachtree City Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home with Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating. Interment will be private with family at Albany Rural Cemetery, Albany, NY. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
