Dr. Tom Evans, executive director of the Greater Atlanta Presbytery, will be the guest minister at The Summit Church (PCUSA) on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. Evans and his family came to the Atlanta Presbytery this past Spring. He was formerly the executive at Sheppards and Lapsley Presbytery in Birmingham, Ala.
Evans was born in Brazil to missionary parents. He graduated from the College of William and Mary and received his master’s of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from Princeton Seminary.
Following the worship service there will be a barbecue and music festival. James Kennedy, Michael Wheeler, Jake Eugene and Wilmesherr bands will perform. Born to Dance, an award winning line dance team will also be there.
