Hartford UMC will host revival Aug. 4-6
Hartford United Methodist Church (UMC) will hold its revival Wednesday through Friday, August 4-6. Guest revivalist will be the Rev. Walter Kimbrough from Cascade United Methodist Church in Atlanta. Hartford is in Fayette County at 216 Padget Road. The pastor is the Rev. Frank Dean Jr.
CDM to host Prophet Chambers Revival

Michael Card to appear at Carriage Lane
The Peachtree Arts Academy will host the award-winning Christian artist Michael Card joined by choir and strings in concert at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church Saturday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.. Brooks UMC will bless backpacks
Teachers, students and parents are invited to special worship services on Aug. 8 at 9 (contemporary service) and 11 a.m. (traditional service) at Brooks United Methodist Church. Everyone is invited to bring their backpacks and briefcases for a special blessing this school year. Church members also will be collecting backpacks for needy children in the community. Family & Friends Day, revival coming up
True Love Christian Ministries will have Family and Friends Day on Aug. 8 at 3 p.m. Pastor Greg Watson from Lamb of God Christian Church in Fayetteville will be the speaker. True Love will also have a revival on Aug. 11, 12, and 13. The guest revivalist is Pastor Edward Johnson of Flat Rock AME Church. Service starts at 7:30 p.m. each night. Jesus Feast starts Aug. 10
The Jesus Feast, a project conceived by two Christian business women from Fayette County, is a plan which invites people to spend 40 days focusing on Jesus beginning Tuesday, Aug. 10, and ending on The Day of Atonement, Saturday, Sept. 18. Participation is encouraged either with a partner or in a group to examine and explore the miracles of Jesus each day, to read scripture, sing, pray and give testimonies. Local radio station J93.3 will read one miracle each day at 2:40 p.m. The project will conclude with a community service in Fayetteville on the final day, Sept. 18. Zion Youth Conference set for Aug. 13-15
Edgefield Baptist Church’s Zion Youth Ministry will host “Youth Conference 2010” Aug. 13-15. The theme is “Abraham’s Seed.” The conference will start Friday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., with guest speaker MinisterTamarkus Cook, and will conclude Sunday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. with guest speaker Minister Stephanie Caldwell. PTCUMC starts GriefShare Aug. 19
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will begin a new session of GriefShare Aug 19. The class meets each Thursday night from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in room 308 at 225 Robinson Road. Weekly videos give information from experts in the field of grief counseling. All facilitators have experienced the loss of a loved one.
