Merle “Harold” Stanton, 66, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Fayetteville, died July 28, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ann Stanton and parents Merle and Mattie Stanton.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa and Russell McArthur of Plano, TX, formerly of Fayetteville; grandchildren Daniel McArthur, Jordan McArthur, Adam McArthur, Megan McArthur and Lizzy McArthur, all of Plano, TX ; father-in-law and mother-in-law Felton and Mary Ard of Pensacola, FL ; sister-in-law Gail Bennett of Charlotte, NC ; and brother-in-law Felton Ard II of Tallahassee, FL.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2021 Redwine Rd., Fayetteville with Bishop Craig Sultan officiating. Mr. Stanton will lie in state from 10:30 AM until 12:00 noon at the church. The burial will follow the service at Camp Memorial Park .
