Peachtree City police and fire officials are investigating two recent early-morning vehicle fires that were intentionally set, officials said Tuesday afternoon.

The fires damaged vehicles that were parked in driveways of two homes: one in the Everhill subdivision and the other in the nearby Rockspray subdivision, police said.

The first incident happened at 2:30 a.m. July 4 at 109 Everhill when an early model Toyota Celica was set on fire in the driveway, police said. The second incident, on July 11 at 1:50 a.m., damaged a late model Chevy Aveo parked in the driveway at 125 Rockspray Ridge, Peachtree City.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police criminal investigations division at 770-631-2510, the city’s crime and narcotics information hotline at 770-487-6010 or the Georgia Arson Control Board at 1-800-282-5804. Callers may remain anonymous.

A reward of up to $10,000 may be offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the fires, police said.
